Children’s Rights Advocacy

Our service provides children’s rights advocacy services to young people in need of support and guidance. It can often be difficult for young people to have their voices heard, especially during important meetings that can often have a big impact on your future. We support young people throughout Care Proceedings, looked-after-child reviews and any other important professionals meetings. Our advocates will help to promote your best interests in key areas such as your education, placements, contact arrangements and leaving care.

Independent Visitor Service

An independent visitor is a trained volunteer who provides support, advice and stability to a child or young person in care. The role of the independent visitor is to provide stability and familiarity to a young person who may have experienced multiple placements in their life, build a trusting relationship with the young person, promote their social, educational, cultural, physical and emotional needs of the young person, and help them to advocate for themselves so that their voices can be heard in professional meetings.
